Minimally Invasive Facelift technique and considerations
The demand for aging face surgery has increased dramatically over the past few decades, and it is likely that it will continue to flourish as the segment of our population over 65 years of age continues to grow. Facelift surgery is the cornerstone of aging face surgery. It is a procedure that has evolved over the years and has been designed to restore a youthful look to the lower face and neck. There are several different approaches available for the management of the aging face, each of which may be best suited to certain patient characteristics. The different approaches will be discuss during this master class along with the facial analysis and the indication of the proper candidate for cervico-facial facelift . In addition a new cervico-facial facelift approach will be presented. In ths masterclass we will discuss and analyze the cervico-facial cutaneomusculo-aponeurotic unit (CMAU) comprising skin, subcutaneous adipose tissue, superficial musculo-aponeurotic system and the particular mechanism of cervico-facial ageing and how the technique is designed to maintain the natural appearance of the face and avoids the classical complications of facelift.
